Labor Costs-- We are a legitimate company. We actually have real employees with real social security numbers. We have liability insurance. We pay taxes. We have our own tools. We have an accountant. We have an office. And … while that just about guarantees that we will not be the cheapest, it doesn’t mean we are the most expensive. In fact, we pride ourselves on providing the most bang for the buck.
Our average pay per employee hour is $18. The employee expenses averages (taxes and insurance) out to 40% or $7.20 per hour worked. Our overhead costs are approximately 30% or $5.40 per hour worked. For a nice round number, we’d like to average a 15% profit or $4.59 per hour. Waving a magic wand … we charge $35 per man hour worked. This is cheap compared to what you pay an electrician, plumber's assistant etc. And ... what we do is often more dangerous ... just ask us about worker's comp expenses.
So … the question becomes how many man hours does a particular project take? That obviously depends on the particular project.
By The Way ... gas costs money, too. If we run around getting you stuff, we're going to let you pay for our gas. Of course ... you could always do the running around yourself.
Material Costs – Material costs are just that material costs. AR Homes, Inc. preferred method of doing business is for the client to pay for materials directly at AR Homes, Inc’s contractor prices.
We invite you to watch us work. You won't see anybody sleeping on the job.
